Team Cherry does not have any announcements or blogs planned for Hollow Knight: Silksong at E3 this year, and so the wait for more news about the game continues. Another blow to fans desperate for more information about Silksong, Matthew Griffin, a member of the marketing and publishing team for the game, has revealed that Team Cherry won't have anything to say about Silksong at E3 2021. It seems Griffin announced the news on Discord, but users on the Hollow Knight subreddit pointed it out and the post has nearly 200 comments discussing this news, or rather, lack thereof. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/02/14/hollow-knight-silksong-reveal-trailer"] "Hey guys," Griffin said. "I just wanted to pop in to let you know that Team Cherry does not have any announcements/blogs scheduled for E3 this year." Obviously anything could happen, but this statement is pretty clear: don't expect any Silksong news during E3 2021 next month. The users on the game's subreddit are taking the news quite well, with many supporting and praising the team for announcing this weeks ahead of time to avoid the disappointment that might have happened otherwise. "I respect them for coming out and saying it so people don't get upset and yell at the team when nothing happens," Redditor Mr_Mimiseku said. "Doesn't mean I'm not antsy to get a hold of this game with my grubby little fingers. The longer we wait, the better the game will be." [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/06/12/hollow-knight-silksong-16-minutes-of-gameplay-midgame-at-e3-2019"] While there is an air of disappointment — Silksong fans are hungry for even just a morsel of new information regarding the game — most of the comments in the subreddit mimic Mr_Mimiseku's comment. Due to COVID-19, E3 was canceled last year, but the electronics gaming show is set to return this year from June 12 to June 15. While there won't be any Silksong shown there, many other studios and companies like Xbox, Nintendo, Ubisoft, and more will showcase upcoming games. Silksong was last seen at E3 2019 and it's there that IGN was able to play the game. Read IGN's thoughts on it, and why it feels like Hollow Knight cranked up to 11, and then be sure to watch 16 minutes of gameplay from E3 2019 after that. While waiting for more Silksong news, whenever that might occur, check out this Nintendo Treehouse Silksong presentation from E3 2019.
