Bethesda Threw a Party When Microsoft Doubled Xbox 360 Memory

Plenty of game development studios celebrate when they launch a game or hit a big milestone. Bethesda Game Studios, on the other hand, threw a “double the memory” party when Microsoft committed to doing just that on the Xbox 360. It might have even saved The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion from having to cut its scale back dramatically.

,” Bethesda director Todd Howard told IGN. “When they told us, we threw a party. I have pictures from the party. We had a 'double the memory party' in the studio. We got drinks. I think it was the only time we've ever done that, someone calls and says 'Yo, OK, we've upped the hardware.'"
