iOS update 14.5 has added native support for PS5 and Xbox Series X and S controllers to iPhone and iPad. Available today, the 14.5 update is a major addition to iOS, adding app tracking transparency (meaning apps now need express permission to track user data), a workaround for those wearing face masks while unlocking their phone, new voices for Siri, and more. As part of that, game controller support via Bluetooth has been added, too. The feature has been hotly anticipated for some time, with users previously forced to find workarounds or use the DualShock 4 while streaming from the PlayStation 5 in apps like PS Remote Play, in absence of proper DualSense support.
