The new Locked and Loaded update for Fallout 76 is now live, and it brings two heavily-requested features to the game that will make customizing playstyles easier than ever. Fans have long since requested the ability to create loadouts for S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attribute setups and that will finally be possible with this upcoming update. According to Bethesda, beginning at level 25, players can create and save custom S.P.E.C.I.A.L point allocations, i.e. load outs, and Perk Card assignments, and switch between them freely. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/04/26/fallout-76-the-locked-loaded-update-overview-video"] "One of the most common requests from the community is now a reality," a press release about the update reads. "S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts enable players to completely reset a character's S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes allowing for quick build overhauls. To swap Loadouts, edit Perk Cards, or S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points, simply visit a Punch Card Machine." Punch Card Machines can be built in C.A.M.P. or found at the multiple Train Stations situated throughout the Appalachian landscape of Fallout 76. Players can store a maximum of two S.P.E.C.I.A.L. loadouts per character. This isn't the only community-requested feature coming to the game in the new Locked and Loaded update, however. Players have been limited to one C.A.M.P. since the game's launch and the Fallout 76 community has continued to ask for additional slots. That's now a possibility with this new update. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/03/18/bethesda-fps-boost-tested-fallout-skyrim-prey-dishonored-performance-review"] "With C.A.M.P. Slots, players can build multiple different C.A.M.P.s, each with its own location, build budget, custom name, and even a unique map icon," the press release reads. "Players can set 1 active C.A.M.P. at a time and easily switch among them using a new C.A.M.P. Builds widget or the C.A.M.P. icons on the map." Another thing new to the game with this update is that vending machines now feature a large pool of item slots that can be shared across all of your C.A.M.P.s. However, display cases will be separate per C.A.M.P., which allows you to showcase different items at each of your C.A.M.P.s. Today also marks the start of Season 4, which is called "Armor Ace in Cold Steel." [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2018/11/16/fallout-4-vs-fallout-76-racing-across-the-map"] "Season 4 kicks off today with a new Scoreboard and 100 ranks to achieve," according to the press release. "As players complete quests, challenges, and events, they'll advance along the Scoreboard and follow alongside Armor Ace as he embarks on a new seasonal adventure while claiming a ton of rewards along the way." Bethesda says this season will see the debut of items already in the game as rewards such as Mannequins, Tadpole Badges, Sugar-free Nukashine, Rad Ant Weight Lager, and more. Players should also expect new Power Armor and weapon skins, C.A.M.P. items, and cosmetic outfits.
