How to Print Your Own New Pokémon Snap Photos In Real Life

With the upcoming release of New Pokémon Snap, and the loss of Blockbuster Video's dedicated Pokémon Snap Stations to print your grainy captures, it seemed like there was no way to get the Pokémon from your snaps and into your hands as physical photos. Thankfully Fujifilm teamed up with Nintendo to create an app specifically designed for use with the Fujifilm Instax Mini Link line of portable smartphone cameras and your Nintendo Switch. That means every budding Henri-Cartier Bresson out there can now print off their own decisive moments from New Pokémon Snap using their smartphone, their Switch, and one of the Instax Mini Link printers. There's a special edition scheduled to release with the game in "Ash White (Red&Blue)" that isn't available yet at Amazon, but rest assured, I will update this article as soon as I can when it does become available. In fact, the Fujifilm Instax Mini Link is sold out pretty much everywhere for the time being, most likely because everyone is super pumped to make Pokémon stickers come Friday. You can still get the white and pink ones at Target, and I've added links for Amazon and Best Buy even though they're sold out, so you can bookmark them and check back later.

Keep an eye on IGNDeals on Twitter. Let's be honest, you could always order one right now, but we all know you want the Special Edition with the Pikachu silicone printer protector (which will be available as a bundled deal). How to Print Photos From New Pokémon Snap

Once you do get your hands on one of the Instax Mini Link printers, you need to then download the app to your smartphone. You can grab the app from the Google Play or the App Store, depending on your mobile operating system. If you're looking through the apps right now and wondering "where in the hell is it?" fear not: it doesn't come out until April 30, alongside New Pokémon Snap itself. Once you have the Instax for Nintendo Switch app installed, it's as simple as sending screenshots from your Switch to your phone, then from your phone to the printer. You're not just limited to Pokémon Snap, either. Print off photos from Animal Crossing, Super Mario Odyssey, pretty much whatever you feel like. It's your world.
