Naruto And Friends Ninja Run Into Fortnite Today

Naruto Shippuden cosmetics are arriving in Fortnite right now, and they look awesome. Believe it!

The new collaboration between Epic's Fortnite and the latter half of the Naruto saga, Shippuden is bringing plenty of goodies from the Hidden Leaf Village. Not only is Naruto now playable in the battle royale, but he's brought along the rest of Team 7: Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and their badass teacher Kakashi Hatake. Sakura and Naruto each come with alternate costumes based on their adult Boruto selves, while Kakashi fans can use his Anbu Black Ops outfit.

This great ninja takeover doesn't stop at just skins. First, the battlebus will see a Naruto-themed makeover. New items are being added like a pickaxe modeled after Sasuke's Sword of Kusanagi, and a new Paper Shuriken Bomb weapon. Maybe the coolest addition is a new glider based on Naruto's nine-tailed beast Karuma.

Naruto's home, the Hidden Leaf village, will appear as a creative experience, complete with the Hokage Mount Rushmore. It also includes the location of the early climactic battle between Naruto and Sasuke, The Valley of the End. Kakashi will be found on the Fortnite island as an NPC and is giving out a new quest to any wannabe ninjas looking for a new challenge.

Here's a full list of the new additions to Fortnite with the Naruto Shippuden collaboration and images of each found throughout this story and in the gallery below:

As a longtime Naruto fan, it looks like Epic is doing the series justice. The characters look great, and the recreation of the Hidden Leaf Village has me redownloading Fortnite as I'm writing this. I'm glad the metaverse is catering to me now, and I can't wait to see what other anime properties may end up gunning for Victory Royales. My fingers are crossed for a big One Piece collaboration in the near future.
