Director Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that after today's Nintendo Direct, there will be no more full characters announced for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but a full DLC plan is in place for more to be added in the future.
This will bring the total count of fighters to 74 with the introduction of Incineroar from Pokemon Sun and Moon.
It's important to note that the 74 character number does not include Echo Fighters, like the recently announced Ken from Street Fighter, in which more may still be revealed.
