This The Last of Us 2 Walkthrough for Chapter 7: Seattle Day 2 - The Descent includes tips fighting stalkers throughout infected and rundown motels. Plus all collectible locations which include 3 artifacts, 5 coins, and 1 safe.
The Descent Walkthrough
Loot the pool area.
Coin - Illinois
As soon as this section begins, drop to the bottom of the pool and pick up the coin.
To continue, take the door into the bathroom and exit out the other side, into a hallway by the Orchards Juice Bar.
Artifact - Gym Safe Combo
Enter the Juice Bar and jump the counter to go into the kitchen. Approach the corkboard and pick up the note. There’s a hint for the safe that says “the code is the same as the wifi.” Exit and walk ahead to the gym. Behind the desk is a sign that says Free Wi-Fi with the password written underneath. That’s the safe code: 12-18-79
Safe Location - Gym Closet
Enter the hall closet across from the gym to find the safe and enter the code: 12-18-79.
Continue by opening the door to the staircase (No Roof Access 21st Floor Emergency Exit).
Artifact - FEDRA Orders
Opening the door will automatically cause you to loot the body. There’s a note you pick up automatically. Go down the stairs.
Find Lev a Gas Mask
Move to the right and cross the plank, squeezing through the wall ahead. Walk forward a bit and go to the hole in the wall on the left and go right towards the vending machine and double doors. When you get to the end of the hall take the doorway on the right and interact with the dead body by the bed - wearing a gas mask.
Watch out for the Stalkers that will suddenly appear. Return to Lev and loot the area on your way back (there are supplements in the back bedroom, covered in a disturbing growth).
Together, you and Lev will renter the area. As soon as you do, look up and then approach the wall so that you can boost Lev above. Grab onto the firehose and slide down.
Artifact - FEDRA Final Notes
As soon as you drop from the firehouse, move to the right. Look on the ground for a note. Continue forward, going along the ledge. Loot the bathroom and watch out for infected in the wall ahead. Pass the bathroom and creep to the next bathroom before dropping down below.
The next area is still creepy but more well lit. Long jump to the area ahead. Keep going to the bathroom and cross a plank to the next area (crouch through the concrete).
Flamethrower Location
Loot the body ahead in, you guessed it, another bathroom for a Flamethrower. Thanks FEDRA!
Return back and drop down several areas. Cross the plank, a Shambler is likely ahead but shoot it with some incendiary shotgun shells and toss a pipe bomb and it will go down easy.
Coin - Oregon
After fighting the shambler you’ll have to drop down to a lower floor. Instead of crossing metal beams for more exploration, turn around and long jump into the room across from you. On the table to the right, is a mirror.
Continue. Watch out for Stalkers who have grown into the wall. Tip: Look for any suspicious jeans lodged into the wall. Those are Stalkers who are very much alive!
Cross another plank and go down all these rundown platforms. Keep going further down. Finally, push through the door ahead.
Overgrown Hotel
The area ahead is full of infected:

Go to the far left and take the Clicker down with a stealth kill. Try to lure others for a few more stealth kills.

Watch out for Stalkers growing into the wall, ready to pounce.

A Shambler’s here too so have your shotgun, flamethrower, and throwables ready.

If you get caught up, run through doorways and crevices to gain distance and prepare for another attack.
Coin - Wisconsin
Drop down through an elevator shaft. When you exit, break the vending machine in front of you and a coin will drop out.
Finally, move through a door ahead and you’ll finally be out in the open. Cross through the outdoor, sitting area.Coin - Rhode Island
Once you make it out into the fresh air go to the bar and behind the register you’ll find another coin for your collection.
Lev will lead the way a bit (to the left and up the incline).
WLF Soldiers in the Hospital
Swim through the water until you reach the gate. Since you’re a WLF soldier, they’ll let you in.
Coin - Missouri
Before entering the hospital turn right and enter the building nearby. At the end of the hall is another coin to add to your collection.
Enter the Hospital and a cutscene will play. This leads into Seattle Day 2 - Ground Zero.
