New Inside Xbox Announced for This Week, Focused on Xbox First-Party Games

Xbox has announced it will be presenting the first Inside Xbox of 2020 tomorrow, April 7, at 2pm PT/5pm ET/9pm GMT, with a focus on Grounded, Gears Tactics, Sea of Thieves, Xbox Game Pass, and more. Announced on Xbox Wire, this Inside Xbox will run approximately 40 minutes, and a live, first-look at the single-player experience in Grounded will be broadcast immediately following the show. While it is mentioned we can "expect surprises from our ID@Xbox team and more," it is also clearly stated that there will be no new details regarding Xbox Series X. [ignvideo url=""] However, director of program management for Xbox Series X Jason Ronald will be part of Inside Xbox discussing the recently revealed technical specifications for Microsoft's next-gen console. Grounded is the newest title from The Outer Worlds developer Obsidian Entertainment and is its first game following Microsoft's purchase of the studio. This newest adventure is a co-op survival game that has up to four players working together to stay safe after they've been shrunk down to the size of an ant. [ignvideo url=""] We recently got our hands on Gears Tactics, a more tactical and strategic take on the Gears franchise. In our preview, we said "if the laptop I was playing on wasn’t taken away from me, I’d probably still be playing. Gears Tactics is shaping up to be an engaging way to play in the Gears universe." Lastly, for Sea of Thieves, we recently re-reviewed the pirate title originally released in 2018, saying "despite the lack of meaningful progression beyond cosmetics, Sea of Thieves presents an endless sea of possibilities full of exciting encounters with other players and a never-ending list of fun things to do."
