A new Starship Troopers game is arriving on PC in 2020. It’ll drop you right into the 1997 film’s universe just as the human colony is being overrun by Arachnids. From there, you’ll have to deploy complex tactics as you take the fight into bug territory with elite soldiers.
The game comes from publishers Slitherine and Sony Pictures, who announced that Starship Troopers - Terran Command is being made by war game studio The Aristocrats. It will be available for PC via Steam in 2020.
Terran Command is described as a blend of “classic real-time mechanics, tower defense and tactical deployment of units.” Most of all, it’s meant to capture the danger and uncertainty that pervades the film as the troops battle the nasty bugs on their own planet.
