Horses are spontaneously combusting in Red Dead Redemption 2, and it’s due to a glitch associated with a specific road.
As reported by The Verge, the road is just outside the town of Rhodes, and is riddled with invisible fire. Once objects or creatures (including horses and humans) come into contact with it, they begin burning. Because of this, multiple NPCs wander onto the road unwittingly, ultimately resulting in piles of burned horses.
Fans all over began uploading videos of this bizarre occurrence on social media, some amused and some horrified, but it all occurred on the same road. Odd black spots can also pop up and objects can regularly clip through the ground apparently as a side-effect of the glitch.
