It only makes sense that skateboarding legend Tony Hawk would have a video game series named after him —we see it all the time with other popular figures in "extreme sports". But who would've thought his games would leave such a vivid mark on video game history? Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 arrived during a time when skateboarding permeated the mainstream through shows, music, fashion, movies and more. It was the hobby to have.
