Sony announced that MLB the Show 19 will be free on PlayStation Plus at an unspecified time in October. Sony made the announcement as part of its September State of Play presentation.

IGN reviewed MLB The Show 19 when it released last May, and gave it an 8.7 out of 10, calling it a big step in the evolution of the franchise, and the most compelling version of MLB The Show since its 2012 installment.
MLB The Show 19 is joined by The Last of Us Remastered as one of October's free PlayStation Plus games.
